Do I need to make an appointment?

Open Studio - you do not need an appointment, just walk in anytime during our open hours and we will set you up with all the appropriate tools.  We are here to help give you direction and assist with questions along the way. For parties larger than 6 people, we do advise to call ahead to reserve space. Most of our tables sit 4-5 people or we can pull tables together to accommodate larger groups.

*If you do want to use a sewing machine please call ahead and reserve.  We want to make sure it’s available when you arrive

Classes and workshops - All of our classes are scheduled and will usually be held beyond our open studio hours.  They are identified in difficulty by easy/medium/experienced and/or age level. Classes require pre-registration.  This can be completed easily online, by calling, or visiting the Studio.

When should I make a reservation?

We make reservations for parties, get togethers and/or use of the space to hold a community meetup.  Please visit the link Space Rental and Parties to see pricing, available schedule and to book your “party” online.

(Parties consist of 9 or more people and do not exceed 45)

What if I have never done this before or I don’t consider myself artistic?

No worries! That's exactly why we are here! The Studio is ran by people who love to help others discover talents they didn’t know they had.  We were once in your shoes. Open studio space is available to all experience levels. Our classes also vary in prerequisites, see description, but for the most part, there should always be some here ready to help.  Our objective is to help everyone find their creative outlet and discover new artistic mediums. This is a safe place.

How do I give my donation of supplies or tools?

You can do a drop off, at the MAXtivity studio, anytime we are open.  Those times don’t work, then e-mail or call and we will work something out.

What ages are DIY kits suited for?

We will try to have DIY kits suited for every age level, available at all times.

Check out the new current DIY kits that are available

What if there’s a past DIY kit I want to do?

Let us know.  We’ll gather the supplies and get your project already so you can sit down and accomplish it here or at home.

My DIY kit is missing something?

Oh No!  Let us know and we’ll have the missing pieces ready for you the next time your able to drop in.   If it’s directions or a YouTube link we’ll send to you in an e-mail. As an apology to you, we’ll take 10% off the next class you sign up for.

Should I bring anything with me?

9 out of 10 times NOTHING!  We are all-inclusive!

Our walk-in art projects, classes, private/group lessons and parties include everything you need to learn and finish your projects. See the class descriptions for more details.

Canvas Painting Parties? Do you have these?

You are always welcome to bring any painting you are working on but we do not offer canvas painting parties here.  Please visit Paint and Wine Corvallis to find a calendar full of upcoming painting classes and to book your party.

I need help finishing a project, can you help?

I sure hope so; that’s our goal.  Please check our Calendar or call us to see when professional artist or craftsman might be in the studio to assist you with your project.  We are here to help you learn and get your project done. It’s only frustrating and unsatisfying to have unfinished work laying around, not to mention a waste of resources and your beautiful talent

MAXtivity is open to the public.  A Donation or Membership is required for use of the supplies, and tools.  Just want to come in and have a cup of coffee, read a book, work on homework, no need to pay.

You decide if your “using” the space.

Everything in MAXtivity is available to use, to create with, during open studio time, unless it is otherwise marked.  Some purchased new items or Donations of high value may be marked for sale, if so, this is for the purpose of raising money to support the mission of MAXtivity. Items that are an additional cost will be clearly marked.

All sales are final unless you purchase something new in a package and you have a receipt.  No returns after 30 days.

There may be art or crafts, made by artists in our community, for sale.  These are set up as consignment and the maker has signed a contract with Maxtivity to include part of the sale of the item as a donation to the organization.  Please honor the hard work of these community members and gladly purchase beautiful wear to support them and the non-profit.
